Hunt #1 - My name is 'Big' Al Mcarty, and I just wanted to let you know about our new organization Chairbound Hunters. We started taking physically-challenged hunters in 2002, and we will offer either bow hunts or gun hunts for antelope, whitetail, mule deer and turkey in 2003.
The hunters will have to buy their own license: (Wyoming non-resident antelope $180,Deer $210), and get to Wheatland, Wyoming on their own. Other than that, we take care of everything. Hunters will be selected by application process. For more information contact me at cbhguide@qwestoffice.net or call Al McCarty at 800-770-8688 or my cell at 307-331-1143.
As the name implies, we only take out chairbound hunters. We have a limited number of antelope & deer tags to offer every year so please call early o sign up for a spot. You may even need to apply for a deer tag in certain areas (which will have a deadline) from the WY Dept.of Game & Fish. Typically, hunters arrange a 3 day hunt with me and stay at a motel in Wheatland. Each hunter will be responsible for travel & license expenses.

Hunt #2 -
The annual disabled bowhunt for pronghorn antelope, presented by Wyoming Disabled
Hunters, Inc., will be held near the end of October every year.
Up to 10 disabled hunters will be able to hunt from wheelchair-accessible ground blinds on private lands in the Cody area. Each participating bowhunter will have a companion in the blind to help out with field dressing the animal and, if needed, to dispatch the animal with a second shot in case the first one only wounds it.
Registration, a bow sighting and a get together will be held prior to the hunt on Oct. 31. If more than 10 hunters apply, names will be drawn to fill the available slots. An alternate will also be drawn if needed.
For an application and more information, call Corey McGregor at (307) 899-0790.
Hunt #3- HelluvaHunt - This is an annual even for Pronghorn hunting in Wyoming. It is a disabled group hunt and from what I hear from guys who have gone, it is a terrific trip.
"Everyone involved with the hunt went out of their way to make it enjoyable for all the hunters. And we were fed breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. Plus the only cost for this hunt was for your transportation there and back. They also provide free lodging to the hunter and one companion. All the meat processing is free and there are free mounts available. 1 for the shooter that makes the longest shot, 1 for the shortest shot and the animal with the largest horns. Plus they raffle of 2 more mounts. On opening day all the shooters filled their tag so the following day was spent touring the country side in the morning and going to the Trap/Skeet Range that afternoon. Then to the American Legion Hall that evening for the farewell banquet. There are normally 15 hunters and this year 3 of the hunters where blind. It truly was one Helluva Hunt. Hope you can make use of this info." - Rich Riethmayer
Applications for participation in the Helluva Hunt are accepted all year long. 15 new hunters are chosen in February to participate in the October Antelope hunt that year. The accepted applicants are immediately notified and licenses are applied for. This event is totally funded and the only cost to the hunter is for their transportation to and from the Douglas, Wyoming area.
For more information or an application, please contact: The Helluva Hunt Gary & Jane Stearns 1562 Esterbrook Rd. Douglas, WY 82633 307-358-6580.
