I shot this buck in mid November last year in Madison County Texas. My uncle owns about 60 acres in a creek bottom and he allows me to hunt. We were actually hunting does on this day since Madisonville had three doe days this year.

We were down there trying to shoot some meat the weather was about average. About 5:15 p.m., I saw this buck. He just appeared out of nowhere like they always seem to do. Naturally it was quite surprising. (I had a friend hunting with me), and we always seem to have good luck together. My buddy never even had time to look at the deer before I pulled the trigger. Whamo! All I knew was the buck had tall tines I had no idea that he was 19 inches on the outside. Not until we rolled up on him anyway.

I probably would've gotten buck fever if he would've turned to look at me before I shot. Good thing he didn't. When we drove up on him we were both just amazed he was just massive. Right now he's at a friends house getting mounted, he is also going to have him officially measured. I will let you know what the official score is.
