This is me & my PH Ray Kemp behind a very long-horned female gemsbok that I smoked on the 5th day of my safari. On the very 1st morning after I shot my kudu bull and we were halfway up the mountain, we could see gemsbok coming out on the plains a few miles away.
Ever since that morning, I'd been wanting to get over there and have at 'em. I finally did after four days of hunting other animals (see zebra!) that were on my wish list.
I told Ray that I didn't care if it was male or female. All I wanted was to go after the one with the tallest horns. And she was it!
Another gorgeous hunting day on the East Cape. Just look at the sky.
